Guy Merolle’s “Nature News” videos

(Also called his Phenology Reports. Look that up!)

When the 2020 pandemic hit, causing Governor Phil Scott to abruptly close Vermont schools, teachers all over the state scrambled to make the transition to distance learning. Guy Merolle, STEM teacher at Castleton Village School, came up with a particularly clever and wonderful way to keep his students involved in, paying attention to, and learning about nature.

Guy decided to create a weekly video documenting what was going on in nature. He also invited his students and other CVS colleagues to do the same and share their observations with him, Guy even began to include a cooking and eating demonstration, with his two adorable boys as guinea pigs.
